Apprenticeship as a Mechanical Engineer with a specialization module in Automation Technology
Manufacture. Assemble. Automate.
What You Will Learn:
A machine without you is like a giant LEGO set still in its box – all the parts are there, but nothing happens. You turn it into a running system. And because we build custom machinery, no two are alike.
Basics.
Fundamental metalworking skills and reading CAD drawings and designs.
Assembly.
An automated production system emerges from hundreds of individual parts. You learn everything about mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics – and are jointly responsible for its setup.
Commissioning.
You get ‘your’ system up and running, optimize, and maintain it. Control technology and robotics are part of this – from the first test run to handover to the customer.

What You Will Create
With our systems, customers worldwide produce sealing profiles – the parts that are later installed on door frames, windows, or the tailgate of a car.

What You Can Be Proud Of
A machine you helped build stands in a factory somewhere on the globe, producing parts for cars you’ll later see on the road. And with PFAFF, you have the opportunity to discover the world yourself during commissioning.

What You Can Expect From Us
From day one, you’ll work on real customer projects instead of practice pieces – using state-of-the-art simulation and control technology. Experienced trainers will personally guide you with an individual development plan. We reward good performance in the company and vocational school with our bonus system. An apprenticeship with university entrance qualification is possible with us.
Only you are missing now.

Our 2027 Discovery Days will take place from Week 3 to Week 11, every Monday and Tuesday. For each date, we offer spots for up to two interested individuals per career field. Optionally, during your discovery internship, you can also take the V.E.M. Competence Test, which helps us get to know your strengths and abilities better.
