Apprenticeship as an Electrical Engineer – Systems and Operating Technology, Automation and Process Control Technology
Control. Install. Program.
What You Will Learn:
You bring machines to life using drives, sensors, and controls: they move automatically, process, and assemble products—because you taught them what to do.
Basics.
Fundamentals of electrical engineering, reading circuit diagrams, and working precisely according to electrical design specifications.
Installation.
You build and wire control cabinets and operating terminals and install our systems and tools. You will learn about sensors, actuators, and pneumatics from the ground up.
Control Technology.
You program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and get automated processes and robots running—including process control and bus technology.

What You Will Create
With our systems, customers worldwide produce sealing profiles – the parts that are later installed on door frames, windows, or the tailgate of a car.

What You Can Be Proud Of
Nothing moves without your control system. Every system you have programmed and wired will later run at customer sites in Europe, the USA, or China—and with PFAFF, you have the opportunity to travel there yourself for commissioning.

What You Can Expect From Us
From day one, you’ll work on real customer projects instead of practice pieces – using state-of-the-art simulation and control technology. Experienced trainers will personally guide you with an individual development plan. We reward good performance in the company and vocational school with our bonus system. An apprenticeship with university entrance qualification is possible with us.
Only you are missing now.

Our 2027 Discovery Days will take place from Week 3 to Week 11, every Monday and Tuesday. For each date, we offer spots for up to two interested individuals per career field. Optionally, during your discovery internship, you can also take the V.E.M. Competence Test, which helps us get to know your strengths and abilities better.
